Working at Finlay's Kalbarri

Finlay’s Kalbarri is an outdoor casual restaurant that is around 570km north of Perth. We are located on the west coast of Western Australia where the Murchison River meets the Indian Ocean.  There is excellent surfing, fishing and water sport opportunities. The nearby Kalbarri National Park provides scenic views and challenging hiking trails.

Our community has a population of around 1400 people and key services including a district high school (Kindy to Year 10), police station, health centre and is around 200km from the nearest major regional centres. We have wonderful parks and are very much a family friendly community.

Positions Available

We are a busy restaurant and are regularly hiring staff to help with serving food, beverages and alcohol. You must be over 18 to work here and hold a current RSA certificate.

We also regularly hire kitchen staff and qualified chefs. Get in touch to see what opportunities might be available.

What we offer

We offer a laid back and fun working environment. It gets pretty busy as you move between areas of the restaurant but you love to be on your feet and moving right?

Our staff enjoys a healthy work/life balance and since the surf is so close by, we might even sneak out to catch a quick break when the timing is right.

There are plenty of hours available over evening and weekend shifts.

Uniforms are free… including when we get dressed up for special events like Oktoberfest!

Finlay's was a second home to us. The town of Kalbarri itself is so beautiful and being able to work in an indoor/outdoor environment we always felt like we were experiencing it. We were always encouraged to have a healthy, work-holiday balance, explore, surf and have fun, while we were at work or outside of it. The owners, Dan and managers took such good care of us. It felt more like a family than a workplace at Finlay's. If we could, we would go back in a heartbeat and we still plan to without a doubt.
