Finlay’s Kalbarri provides a unique causal dining experience in the coastal town of Kalbarri, on Western Australia’s Coral Coast.
The property was originally the site of the town’s ice works, which was then purchased by the Finlay family and operated as a fish processing facility. Exports of fish from the town however were brought to a halt during the national pilot strike of 1989. With the main transport network for exporting local produce destroyed the Finlay family decided if they can’t bring the produce to the market, they would bring the market to the produce and so began Finlay’s Kalbarri story.
Finlay’s Kalbarri has been operating as a seafood restaurant with relaxed surrounds since 1989.
As part of the ever-evolving operations, Finlay’s Kalbarri is installing a microbrewery to offer locals and tourists fresh locally brewed beer to accompany the fresh local seafood.
Finlay’s is lucky enough to be able to source fresh fish straight from the boats docking in Kalbarri. in addition we have access to Cockels and Tiger Prawns from Shark Bay, Nor West Squid and South Australian Mussels.
